My Dearest Parishioners:

It seems more and more as President I learn something new from my wonderful children.  I had on this occasion to be watching wrestling with my son Nikitas when he asked me about a group known as LEGACY.  "Daddy what is LEGACY" he asked and is it a good thing or bad thing?  Well, as always I thought a minute then took the easy way out and said it is both.  Then I had a lot of explaining to do along with a lot of thinking.

At our General Assembly (thank you Philoptochos Ladies and all in attendance) I was able to outine our list of goals as a parish council and hopefully as a community  First and foremost is our children, their Greek and Sunday school educaion, their growth in Hellenism and as Orthodox Christians.  Secondly, a plan to keep our community on solid fiscal ground with new events, which are well planned, well timed and promotes the ideals we can believe in and share with others.  It is our goal to rejuvenate the ideals of the past with celebrations like PANAGIAS that will foster these things and make our parish unique.  We will continue to work with the community to identify needs to keeping and making our church beautiful.  Nick Boulas and his house cmmmittee have already made tremendous strides and they have only just begun.  Thank you!

We will target new technology to help us be more efficient with not only communications on events, planning and education but also outreach and managing our current resources.  The most important task is the one I have left for last, and that is finding the next spiritual leader of our community.  This is a temendously important yet a unique oportunity for us.  I am not only optimistic but excited for us to find not only a great spiritual person but someone to bring us back to our heights as we apprach our 95thy anniversary.  This is our time and our legacy, and not only do I embrace the opportunity, but I am positive that our time to shine has come.
