The Dormition of the Virgin Mary Church School is in session every Sunday during the months of September through June except for Christmas, Palm Sunday and Pascha. Church School is held each week in classes including kindergarten through 12th grades.
The children enter Church by 10:00 a.m. to attend Divine Liturgy, enjoy a sermon by Father Panteleimon geared to their age level, and receive Holy Communion before leaving Church to receive further instruction in their Church School classrooms. There is a nursery for those children under five years of age; parents are welcome to stay in the nursery with their children, where they are able to enjoy the Divine Liturgy that is piped in, or they may choose to join the congregation in Church.
The Church School Supervisor is Eleni Raschi, a bright, energetic woman who works under the guidance of Father Panteleimon, who oversees the program. Classroom teachers and aides are warm, caring people who are nurturing to the students.
