Junior Orthodox Youth (JOY) is the Greek Orthodox Church ministry for children in second through seventh grades.
Hellenic Orthodox Primary Education (HOPE) is the Greek Orthodox Church ministry for children in kindergarten and first grade.
These two groups have performed community service projects such as canned food drives and winter coat drives. They meet once a month to plan their activities; they also write an article for the Koinotis, the Dormition Church’s monthly newsletter. The groups hosted a Valentine’s Day party for JOY and HOPE members in surrounding communities, have enjoyed swimming and pizza parties and have decorated lambathes for Pascha.
